STUART LITTLE AND YOUR FAVORITE BUNNY ARE SURE SIGNS OF SPRING AT WOODFIELD
Schaumburg, Ill. (March 4, 2003) Despite the Groundhog spotting his shadow last month and predicting more winter weather, a spring bunny and a superstar mouse are heating it up at Woodfield Shopping Center in northwest suburban Schaumburg. The exclusive Stuart Little holiday display returns to the area's largest mall on March 7 - April 19 in the JC Penney Court. The famed mouse of page and screen, along with Your Favorite Bunny, will greet shoppers, pose for photos and make scheduled appearances at center restaurants.
The beauty of the fabled New York City Central Park is recreated with giant colorful topiaries, Victorian street lamps, and wrought iron fences surrounding a floral landscape lush with tulips, pansies, daisies, and five kinds of trees.
"When Stuart Little and Your Favorite Bunny arrive at Woodfield, it's a better sign that Punxsutawney Phil that spring has come to Chicago," said Jim Zielinski, Director of Marketing for the center. "Shoppers have come to expect the latest and best seasonal decor from Woodfield which makes a visit here a thoroughly enjoyable one-stop shopping experience."
Families can visit and take photos with Your Favorite Bunny from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Woodfield will be closed on Sunday, April 20.
A variety of Digital Imaging photo packages are available for purchase from $10.99 to $24.99 and include the option of preserving images on a floppy disk for an additional $6.99. There is no obligation to purchase a photo as parents can also bring their own cameras.
Stuart Little will greet shoppers of all ages Saturdays and Sundays from Noon - 5:00 p.m. through April 19. Visitors to Your Favorite Bunny will receive a free Teenie Beanie Bopper and a Schaumburg Flyers baseball schedule while supplies last.
Breakfast with Your Favorite Bunny and Stuart Little will be held in April at select Woodfield restaurants one hour prior to the mall's opening. Reservations must be made with each individual restaurant. Although dates and times are subject to change, the following restaurants will host the spring duo.
* Saturday, April 5 -- 9:00 a.m. at Red Robin
* Sunday, April 6 -- 10:00 a.m. at Vie de France
* Saturday, April 12 -- 9:00 a.m. at McDonald's
* Sunday, April 13 -- 10:00 a.m. at Red Robin
* Saturday, April 19 -- 9:00 a.m. at McDonald's
Stuart Little was the #1 family film of 1999. Based on E.B. White's 1945 best-seller, the film chronicles the adventures of the Little family and their endearing son, who just happens to be a mouse (voiced by Michael J. Fox). In Stuart Little 2, Stuart must journey through the city with a reluctant Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane) to rescue a new friend, Margalo (voiced by Melanie Griffith), from a villainous Falcon (voiced by James Woods). Reuniting for Stuart Little 2 are Stuart's entire family from the original film: Geena Davis (Mrs. Little), Hugh Laurie (Mr. Little) and Jonathan Lipnicki (George Little), as well as Steve Zahn (voice of Monty).

Anchor stores are Nordstrom, Marshall Field's, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney and Sears. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The center will be closed on Sunday, April 20.
